“If we knew what we are, we should do as Sir Arthur Jermyn did; and Arthur Jermyn soaked himself in oil and set fire to his clothing one night”.
The above is a still from my new film which I have been animating, slowly but surely for the last months. I am adapting H.P Lovecraft’s 1920 ‘Facts Concerning the Late Arthur Jermyn and His Family’ into a film. A 20 minute, hand drawn, inked and painted and fully animated short.
'Facts Concerning the Late Arthur Jermyn and His Family’ is a macabre tale filled with insanity and death dealing with the tainted ancestry and madness a once noble family - The Jermyns of England. It takes place over a period of 200 years in England, America and The Congo as it follows different members of the Jermyn family, chronicling their tragic fall from grace following a mysterious trip to the Congo in the 1700s.
Much more to come soon.
